Paraffin-wax products

Paraffins are extracted from crude oil in the production of light lubricating oils. These waxes are classified by oil content and degree of purification. The coarsest versions fall into the category of gacha and contain from 5% to 20% oil. The next stage of purification is the scaling waxes, which contain from 1% to 5% oil. The highest degree of purification is completely refined wax. Completely refined paraffins contain less than 0.5% oil and have undergone hydro-treatment or clay treatment to remove impurities and color. The resulting waxes are transparent, odorless, and generally suitable for food products.

Paraffin waxes are used in dozens of applications, including: candles, corrugated cardboard boxes, paper coating, cardboard calibration, and many other applications. HCI paraffins are chosen for their purity and stable quality.
